Since Devin Singletary's parents have chosen to lead a secluded life, not much has been revealed about them. In the past, his father played football for Norfolk State University, where his teammates famously called him "Motor."

Devin Singletary played Division I FBS football for Florida Atlantic University. He led the division in scoring in 2017 with 32 rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. He finished with 1,920 yards of rushing and 198 points overall.

In 2017, he was named the C-USA Most Valuable Player and won the Boca Raton Bowl. In 2017 and 2018, he received first-team All-C-USA honors.

He ranks sixth in Division I FBS history for rushing touchdowns. He declared his intention to enter the 2019 NFL draft in 2018. In September 2019, he made his career debut with the Buffalo Bills, fulfilling his vision.
