Miranda isn't tiny, and she is proud of it. "I'm not naturally small," she told Good Housekeeping. "And I'm fine with that, because so many girls come up to me and say, 'Thank you for being normal-sized — it gives us hope that you don't have to be a size 2 to be somebody.'"
Miranda has tried nearly every diet. "I did [Nutrisystem] for a month, and then got tired of it," she told Women's Health. "You get tired of any diet. I've tried everything." It wasn't until she changed her lifestyle that she started losing weight. "I just literally would make grilled chicken breast, sweet potato salad. There was no miracle." She tries to eat a lot of veggies, but has to jazz them up. "I like broccoli with cheese, and carrots with ranch dressing," sheadded. "It's just how I eat." She also drinks green juice, especially when she hasn't gotten her greens in. "So if I don't eat anything else green that day, I feel like I've got my green in."
Miranda is big into run-walking. "I hate running," Miranda confessed to Women's Health. "Like, in huge red letters: I HATE RUNNING." "People who are new to exercise may want to start walking before they move onto running. Walking is also better for people with certain health problems or those who have joint replacements," says Winchester Hospital. "Try adding strengthening and stretching exercises to get the most out of the workout you choose. Strength training the upper body and torso is important since they do not get much of a workout during regular running or walking. Strength training your lower body is also important because it will boost your walks and runs. Regular stretching will also help loosen up your muscles."
Miranda doesn't step on the scale. "The assumed number of pounds lost…? I don't even know! Like I have always said, it's not about a scale, it's about how you feel and how your jeans fit," she wrote in an open letter to fans. "I am proud to be a normal-size girl, and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size."
Miranda has a great workout buddy: Her husband."He does a pity run with me, and then he does his real run. It's sad. These days, I just try to feel good about myself and know that I'm trying. And if there's wine and cheese, sometimes I have it," she told Health.
