Hot New Hip Hop reported this week that Walmart has reportedly been ripping off designs created and popularized by black artists. According to the outlet, the controversy first started when a photo from Walmart’s website went viral.

An image of a product sold by the retailing giants featured the logo from Lil Baby’s 4PF. Not long after, it was revealed by Jackboy that the company had been selling knock-off Sniper Gang chains. Jackboy took to his social media to threaten legal action if they continued selling his design.

TMZ says that Kodak Black’s lawyer released a statement in which he also threatened to sue Walmart for using the Sniper Gang chains. Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s lawyer, claimed they had been made aware of the dispute and have subsequently prepared a cease and desist order.

If the retailing giant refuses to comply with their claims, they will take the matter to court. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Walmart agreed to take the item of their shelves in the meantime. The design was also removed from the third-party seller’s store as well.

As most know, Kodak Black is currently serving time in prison for lying on a gun registration form. Although, in recent news, the star finally received information that likely helped him sleep easily at night. One of Kodak Black’s charges were dropped.

Additionally, Kodak Black revealed that he was about to drop a brand new song from behind prison walls. The star said on his social media account that he’d be on his way home soon amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ever since the coronavirus took hold of nations around the world, fans had been urging for the rapper’s early release, arguing that he was a non-violent offender and he should be allowed to stay at home rather than in jail.

Regarding his dropped charges, Kodak Black sidestepped a maximum fifteen-year prison sentence after prosecutors in Florida agreed to drop a charge against him.
