Game Of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke has gone viral after she posted a selfie and was then shamed online for “looking old”.
Clarke posted a cute filter-free selfie on Instagram to celebrate her new mug.
She looked gorgeous and glowy, but refreshingly you could see smile lines around her face and eyes.
The unfiltered image has started a vast online conversation after Jon Miller posted her selfie on Twitter with the caption, “Lmao wow Daenerys Targaryen didn’t just hit the wall she flew into it full speed on a dragon.”
It is worth noting that Clarke became famous when she was 22 years old — when she started playing the Game Of Thrones character Daenerys. She’s now 36 years old.
The tweet has since been viewed over 32 million times.
Miller’s viral tweet quickly kicked off debate online.
Some people were quick to call out Miller for even posting the tweet in the first place.
One user replied: “This is one of the most pathetic tweets I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying something.”
However, other fans thought his observation was internet worthy.
Another replied and tweeted: “All time banger, one of the best tweets in the history of the site.”
The conversation quickly morphed into a loud debate about how women in Hollywood are treated as they age.

Someone tweeted: “Why can’t we just admit that Emilia Clarke looks old without either gloating about “the wall” or pretending she’s still incredibly beautiful?”
While other people online questioned if men even knew what unfiltered women looked like anymore?
It was internet chaos.
