On Friday (November 10), Demi Lovato co-hosted BBC One’s new music show, Sounds Like Friday Night. Alongside two incredible performances, the singer put her knowledge of Britain to the test with Greg James.

First up, Greg tested Demi on her ‘Britishisms’, by asking her the meaning of several British phrases including ‘Bees Knees’ and ‘Bob’s Your Uncle’. Demi did really well but fell short at knowing the meaning of ‘boat race’, even though she has a lovely one.

In a round cleverly titled ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, Demi was quizzed on the Brits’ love of apologising for everything. Once again, she pretty much grasped our logic of when to say sorry, so much so that we’re fully prepared to make her an honorary Brit right now.

Finally, Demi took part in the regional accents challenge, where she nailed a pretty good West Country accent.

During the show, Demi also sang two of her most recent offerings. Opening the show with ‘Instruction’, she was joined by both Jax Jones and Stefflon Don. They gave fans a worldwide exclusive as this was the first time that the three artists had performed the song together.

To close the show, Demi sang her latest release, ‘Tell Me You Love Me’. Joined by a gospel choir, the songstress showed off her powerful vocals which resulted in a breathtaking performance.

Sounds Like Friday Night was the perfect way for Demi to kick off her UK trip. Yesterday, she went to Birmingham to perform at Free Radio Live, whilst she’ll be back in London today for MTV’s EMA. Demi is nominated for Best Pop and will also be performing during the show. On Monday, she will be returning to Radio 1’s Live Lounge, after a triumphant session back in 2015.
