Bethenny Frankel Honors Late Ex Dennis Shields On Fathers Day, Snubs Jason Hoppy He Was A

On Father’s Day, Bethenny Frankel honored, not her daughter’s dad, Jason Hoppy, but her late ex, Dennis Shields! As you know, the reality TV star has been in a legal battle with Hoppy, who she accused of being abusive, so it makes sense she did not feel like wishing Jason a Happy Father’s Day.

On the other hand, Bethenny made it very clear that, Dennis, who tragically passed away last year in August, was a ‘beautiful influence’ on her 9 year old daughter, Bryn.

The woman posted a pic that featured Dennis and her daughter and captioned it: ‘Happy Father’s Day. In memory of Dennis, a man who was a father of five beautiful children and a beautiful influence in my daughter’s life.’

Dennis was discovered dead in his Trump Tower apartment of a reported drug overdose.

He and Bethenny had known one another for no less than three decades, since they were just teens.

However, they only started their romantic relationship back in 2016, following his divorce from ex wife Jill.

Bethenny revealed on the Real Housewives of New York that Dennis had popped the big question a couple of months before his passing.

‘It’s funny because he asked me, ‘Did you say yes?’ And I replied, ‘Well, I love you and I cannot believe that you did this but we need to talk about some conditions and terms and how the things are going to change’ — issues I have had with partnership and consistency. It was all very complicated and it was not what a natural engagement should be. So our engagement was on ice,’ she recalled.

Indeed, the two had been on again, off again during their dating period but Dennis’ sudden death still affected Bethenny very much.
